FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lancaster, CA — On Memorial Day, as the nation honors the fallen, one woman is honoring those who live with the invisible scars of service. Yvonne Coulson, a veteran spouse and long-time advocate, is launching MsVeteranAffairs.com—a dedicated online platform created for military families navigating life after service.

The site officially launches on May 26, 2025, at 12 PM CST, born out of Coulson’s own journey through hardship, love, and relentless advocacy.

A Mission Forged from Experience

Yvonne Coulson’s story began in service—not on the front lines, but in the trenches of military family life. Her husband, a U.S. Air Force veteran and intelligence analyst of 26 years, returned from duty bearing the weight of illnesses tied to his service: COPD, diabetes, and exposure to Agent Orange.

With no home of their own, scattered support, and a bureaucratic system that kept saying “no,” Coulson taught herself the ins and outs of veterans’ benefits—because she had to. For years, she was told her husband didn’t qualify for disability. But with tireless research and determination, she proved otherwise, ultimately securing the benefits he was owed.

After his passing, Coulson turned grief into momentum—first founding New Horizons for Life, and now, MsVeteranAffairs.com, so that no other veteran family has to walk that journey alone.

A Platform That Goes Beyond Paperwork

“This isn’t just another resource page,” Coulson says. “This is the thing I needed when I was drowning. It’s the thing I couldn’t find. So I built it—for every veteran and every spouse who feels forgotten.”

At the heart of MsVeteranAffairs.com is a trauma-informed framework Coulson calls SOAR—standing for Self-Awareness, Opportunity-building, Action-planning, and Resilience. This isn't just about filling out forms or checking benefit eligibility. It’s about offering mental clarity, emotional relief, and daily support in a system that can often feel cold and inaccessible.

The platform addresses the complex emotional terrain of life after military service—grief, identity loss, isolation—and provides practical tools grounded in real-world experience.

Launch Day: A One-Time Invitation

To mark the launch, Coulson is hosting a live virtual walkthrough and Q&A session on Memorial Day. The first 100 attendees will receive a free digital copy of The Life After Military guidebook—crafted for those who feel stuck, uncertain, or exhausted by a system that rarely explains itself.

In addition, a members-only surprise feature will be revealed exclusively during the event. It won’t be replayed or distributed. It’s a one-time opportunity designed for those ready to take the next step—even if they don’t yet know how.

“There was no space for our pain,” says Coulson. “Now, there is. And I’m inviting every veteran, every widow, every weary soul who still carries the weight to meet me there.”
